On Wednesday, ACCA Middle East announced their new team in order to meet the growing need in the region. The new team will have a task of not just giving a boost to accountancy profession in the Middle East but also to ensure that the demands of the existing consumer base of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is addressed.
As per the announcement, Lindsay Degouve de Nuncques has been appointed as the head of ACCA Middle East. Ms. Lindsay has already served as the head of ACCA UAE for one year along with more than 9-year experience at ACCA’s headquarter in London. As the new head, Ms. Lindsay will be looking after ACCA teams in Dubai and Muscat–enabling them to provide world-class support to students, alumni and member organizations.
Two more chnages have been made to the ACCA Middle East team. Anis Motorwala has been appointed the position for Business Development Manager – Middle East. Prior to that Mr. Anis was serving ACCA Northern Gulf team. Second change came as Fazeela Gopalani joined the ACCA Middle East team as the head of education for the region. Previously working with Platinum ACCA tution providers, the role of Ms. Fazeela will now be to provide support to learning providers, particularly schools and universities.
These changes in the core team coincide with the ACCA preparation intakes by many institutes in UAE. According to Stuart Dunlop, ACCA’s regional director – MENASA, “This was an important step for us to take here in the Middle East, as the demands from our students, members and potential students grow and every need can be different.”
